Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry program at St Leo the Great offers a variety of opportunities for youth in grades 6-12 to encounter Christ and fall in love with Him, build faith based relationships, and grow in their knowledge and understanding  of our Catholic faith.

This year’s theme is “Come and See” John 39-40a

Jesus turned, and saw them following, and said to them, “What do you seek?” And they said to him, “Rabbi”, “where are you staying?” He said to them, “Come and see.” (John 1:39-40a)

HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY (Grades 9,10, 11, 12)

The mission of our high school youth ministry program is to:

  • Foster disciples of Jesus Christ and to inspire high schoolers to enthusiastically embrace their call from God the Father through an intentional participation in the Sacraments, prayer and the life of the parish.
  • Build a strong Catholic community among high school students in order to help facilitate their continued formation and catechesis.
  • Facilitate a spirit of service in imitation of Jesus, by offering service opportunities in the local community and by encouraging a deep sense of generosity and care for others, especially at home and in school.

Our middle school youth ministry program is designed to:

  • Work closely with the religious education office to offer activities and events to assist in the preparation of the Confirmandi, as well as to plan and lead the fall confirmation retreats.
  • Build a strong Catholic community for middle school students; establishing a foundation to remain connected to their Church in later years.
  • Promote solid Church teaching through interactive learning in a fun and energetic environment.
