Religious Education Registration

Greetings in Christ!  I am writing to you today to announce our registration plans for the 2023-2024 Religious Education year.  We are beginning registration for next year’s classes this week.  We have enclosed a registration/emergency care form for each child for your convenience.  You may complete this form (back and front) and return it to us for registration.  Also, please bring a copy of your child’s Baptismal certificate if you have not already submitted one to our office.

As a reminder, we require a registration form for your child each year so that he/she will be placed in a class.  (If you have a child who will be a rising 8^th grader in the Confirmation program, you need to register him/her for classes.)  Placement of children in classes is first come, first served beginning April 24, with registered St. Leo parishioners having priority.  We will continue to take registrations through Thursday, August 24 but recommend that you register soon since there are a limited number of classes.  If you register early (through August 7), we are better able to serve you and your tuition fee will be at the lower rate. (The fees and schedule are on the registration form.)  Registration fees are due at the time of registration. If there is a financial difficulty and other arrangements need to be made, please let us know.

Please note that classes will begin during the week of September 10.  Sunday classes for elementary students whose language is Spanish at home will be held at 11:15 am -12:30 pm.  Monday classes (K-6) will be held at 4:45 pm – 6:00 pm. and (Grades 1-8) 7:00 pm – 8:15 pm.  All classes will be held in the school.  We hope to have one kindergarten class on Sunday and one kindergarten class on Monday which is limited to 12 children each.  All students, whether homeschooled or in the scheduled classes are required to register. 

We look forward to serving you in the coming months as we prepare for sacraments and the upcoming school year.  We ask that you prayerfully complete the Volunteer Form that we have provided.  We need volunteers and provide training. All volunteers must be Virtus certified, and background checked.  Please volunteer early so that we may help you begin that process. ¡Saludos en Cristo! Les escribo hoy para anunciar nuestros planes de registro para el año de Educación Religiosa 2023-2024. Estamos comenzando la inscripción para las clases del próximo año esta semana. Adjuntamos un formulario de registro/cuidado de emergencia para cada niño para su conveniencia. Puede completar este formulario (dorso y frente) y devolvérnoslo para el registro. Además, traiga una copia del certificado de bautismo de su hijo si aún no lo ha enviado a nuestra oficina.

Como recordatorio, requerimos un formulario de registro para su hijo cada año para que sea colocado en una clase. (Si tiene un hijo que ingresará al octavo grado en el programa de Confirmación, debe inscribirlo en las clases). La ubicación de los niños en las clases es por orden de llegada a partir del 24 de abril, los feligreses registrados en San Leo tendrán prioridad. Continuaremos aceptando inscripciones hasta el jueves 24 de agosto, pero le recomendamos que se registre pronto ya que hay un número limitado de clases. Si se registra temprano (hasta el 7 de agosto), podremos brindarle un mejor servicio y su tarifa de matrícula será más baja. (Las tarifas y el cronograma se encuentran en el formulario de inscripción). Las tarifas de inscripción deben pagarse en el momento de la inscripción. Si hay una dificultad financiera y es necesario hacer otros arreglos, háganoslo saber.

Tenga en cuenta que las clases comenzarán durante la semana del 10 de septiembre. Las clases dominicales para estudiantes de primaria cuyo idioma es el español en casa se llevarán a cabo de 11:15 a. m. a 12:30 p. m. Las clases de los lunes (K-6) se llevarán a cabo de 4:45 p. m. a 6:00 p. m. y (Grados 1-8) 7:00 pm – 8:15 pm. Todas las clases se llevarán a cabo en la escuela. Esperamos tener una clase de kínder el domingo y una clase de kínder el lunes, con un límite de 12 niños cada una. Todos los estudiantes, ya sean educados en el hogar o en las clases programadas, deben registrarse.

Esperamos poder servirle en los próximos meses mientras nos preparamos para los sacramentos y el próximo año escolar. Le pedimos que complete en oración el Formulario de Voluntario que se adjunta. Necesitamos voluntarios y brindamos capacitación. Todos los voluntarios deben tener la certificación Virtus y verificar sus antecedentes. Por favor, ofrézcase temprano para que podamos ayudarlo a comenzar ese proceso. Estamos agradecidos por todas sus oraciones y apoyo. Que ustedes y sus familias sean bendecidos.
