Baptism
The Baptism preparation class is required, as is Registration in the Parish. Call the Parish Office to register for the Baptism Class prior to the date desired. Classes are offered monthly in both English and Spanish.English: 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm
Español: 3rd Sábado del mes a la 1:00pm
Godparents – All godparents from outside the parish must provide Sponsor Certificates from their home parish at least one week before the scheduled Baptism.
Godparents/sponsors themselves must have received Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation, be at least 16 years of age, be regular participants in the life of their church and, if they are married, be married sacramentally in the Church as is required by Canon Law.
The Sacrament of Baptism is usually celebrated –
English – 2:30 pm every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday of the month
En Español – 2:30 pm cada 2nd and 4th Domingo del mesPlease do not plan a baptism before contacting our parish office.

First Holy Communion & First ConfessionSt. Leo the Great Parish warmly welcomes you to our 1st Penance & 1st Communion program. Join our Faith Formation classes to help prepare your child to receive these beautiful sacraments! Here, they will encounter God’s mercy and love in First Confession and receive His very Body and Blood in First Holy Communion. Holy Mother Church teaches us that the Eucharist is the “source and summit of the Christian life” (Lumen Gentium 11). What a joy and a privilege it is to prepare to receive the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
·Requirements: 2 years of preparation (typically 1st and 2nd grade; if older, enrollment in OCIC Year 1 and OCIC Year 2 / OCIT)

ConfirmationSaint Leo the Great warmly welcomes you to our Fall 2025 Confirmation program. Join our Faith Formation classes to prepare your child to receive this incredible sacrament. Indeed, Holy Mother Church tells us that: “the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace” CCC 1285. What a joy and a privilege to prepare to be especially deepen the gifts of the Holy Spirit, to be “more perfectly bound” to the Church, and to be given even more deeply the great responsibility of being witnesses for Christ.

Marriage
Congratulations!
“For this reason, a man shall leave father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one. This is a great mystery, and I mean in reference to Christ and His Church.” (Ephesians 5:25-26).
We extend our congratulations to you on your decision to marry in the Catholic Church out of the belief that your future marriage will be sacred and Christian.
St. Leo the Great Catholic Church is a parish of strong Christian commitment that since its dedication in 1957 has witnessed hundreds of couples receiving the sacrament of Marriage. Each couple that approaches marriage has a unique history that God leads to the path of holiness in this particular vocation.Dates & Times
Weddings normally take place on Saturdays at 11:00 am and 2:00pm. The church is available from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm for the 11:00 am wedding and from 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm for the 2:00 pm wedding.
Weddings can also take place on weekdays if there is availability in the parish schedule and if a clergy member is available.
Weddings cannot take place on Sundays, or on non-abrogated Holy Days of Obligation.
If the wedding is on a Friday at 5:00 pm, the Church should be available for confessions at 6:45pm. If the wedding is on a Saturday at a 2:00 pm, the Church should be available at 3:15 pm for confessions.
Please, contact our parish office for detail information about scheduling your wedding and for marriage preparation.
Date and time will be confirmed by the preparing clergy. Please, do not book your reception room before making sure your wedding is scheduled with the Church.
