OCIA- Order of Christian Initiation of Adults

Interested in the Catholic Faith? Want to Learn More?

Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)

OCIA/RCIA classes meet on Tuesdays beginning on October 3, 2023, and continuing until Easter 2024.  The classes are at 7:30 pm and they meet in the Guadalupe Room in the Parish Hall.

If you are interested in becoming Catholic — whether by Baptism (if you have never been baptized) or Profession of Faith (if you have been baptized in another religion) or if you would like to find out what the Catholic Church is all about — this program is for you.

Those who discern that they would like to become Catholic will receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist) at the Easter Vigil Mass.  In addition to the weekly sessions, we celebrate the Rites and Blessings of the OCIA on several different Sundays throughout the year.

Catholic Adult but Not Confirmed?

If you are an adult who has received the Sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist, but have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation, you are also invited to attend the RCIA classes on Tuesday evenings.  These classes will prepare you to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the spring.
