Themes to focus on:
- Jesus shows authority is through service
- Jesus uses the word covenant – the only time (covenants make family)
- There is no lamb eaten (It is present through Jesus’s presence)
- Jesus institutes the priesthood and the eucharist (Holy Orders and Eucharist)
- Symbols for your prayer corner (Pick one or two)
- Activity(ies)
- As a family, sit quietly for as long as possible before your prayer corner like it was the altar of repose
- For family with small children
- Discuss what Eucharist (Greek) means – Thanksgiving
- Family meals are holy because of the Last Supper
- Go around and mention at least one thing for which you can give thanks to Jesus
- Build a little tabernacle of cardboard or construction paper to use for the evening “altar of repose”
- Prayer for your Bishop, Priests and Deacons
